Should You Be Eating Doughnuts?

Now that you know the number of calories in various types of doughnuts, you can decide for yourself whether or not you should have doughnuts and how many. Since doughnuts are made from refined flour and have a lot of added sugar, their calories come from high-GI carbs, which is bad. They do not have good nutritional value and would only add to your weight.

Having said that, you don’t have to completely deprive yourself of your favorite doughnut on National Doughnut Day. Remember, moderation is key. So, ensure you have no more than one doughnut during the day.

Also, make sure you exercise and compensate for the calories consumed. However, if you have an overall healthy lifestyle which consists of a good diet and exercise regime, you can indulge in your guilty pleasures on special days, but do check on the quantity you consume.
