Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Drew Barrymore are three friends with a lot in common. They are actresses and authors over 40 with a love for food, and a particular interest in the avocado.
All three women have written books; Diaz and Paltrow’s books are about healthy living, and Barrymore has penned two memoirs.
A favorite breakfast for Diaz’s is scrambled eggs with toast and avocado, and Paltrow’s breakfast items seem to include avocado, smoked wild salmon, and sardines. Barrymore takes it a step further. She says she loves avocados so much that she wants to be buried under an avocado tree, because she spent much of her childhood eating avocados from a tree near her home. Sometimes she ate 10 avocados a day.

It’s no surprise that Diaz, Paltrow, and Barrymore gravitate toward avocados. Avocados are a good source of fiber, monounsaturated fat, magnesium, manganese, potassium, copper, folate, vitamin B6, vitamin C, and vitamin K. They’re great for heart health and for proper blood and bone function.

Gwyneth Paltrow basically consumes a healthy whole-foods diet and stays away from processed foods and sugars. She enjoys daily smoothies with ingredients such as almond milk, almond butter, vanilla powder, sea salt, maca powder, ashwagandha powder, and coconut oil. Paltrow also does workouts inspired by Tracy Anderson, and she also enjoys swimming, hiking, and staying close to nature in Southern California.

Diaz starts her day by drinking a liter of water, meditating, working out, and eating breakfast. Nutrition, sleep, physical activity, and stress relief are all important to her. She says it’s important not to rely on supplements, but to obtain nutrition from whole foods, and believes that people should take responsibility for their wellness and be more mindful about what’s going on in life.

Drew Barrymore also follows a healthy lifestyle plan with an exercise routine and healthy diet. Barrymore’s workout routine includes running, swimming, yoga, and Pilates. She runs for five miles three times weekly. Golf is also incorporated into her exercise routine twice a week. Barrymore enjoys a diet of organic products and vegetables, likely in a salad on occasion.
Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Drew Barrymore are three friends with a love of avocado and an overall healthy lifestyle. It’s certainly fair to say that their healthy habits have had a positive influence on their lives.
