Christina Milian took to Instagram to raise awareness about Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) that is affecting a huge population of the U.S. She shared a selfie doing push-ups while breathing through a straw to know what 30 million Americans affected with it feel like. The singer wants to raise awareness about the disease as 15 million of the affected population are unaware that they are suffering from it.
While we see Milian working out in the video, she really does work out and it isn’t only to post the video for COPD awareness. Let’s take a peek into the Turned Up star’s healthy lifestyle.
Christina Milian Workout Routine
Milian works out six days per week for 30 minutes each day and does running, lunges, sit-ups, squats, and abs workouts. She is so excited about working out that she sometimes hits the gym twice a day! She loves sweaty workouts and feels they are the best way to get relief from stress. The singer also insists her fans workout to be stress-free as well.
She is an excellent pole dancer which can burn a huge amount of calories keeping her fit and healthy. Her incredible curves are the result of dance workouts. Milian is not a fan of boot camps and CrossFit but loves outdoor workouts instead. She likes to hike which keeps the heart rate going and makes her sweat a lot. She also goes swimming with her daughter, Violet, which strengthens the mother-daughter bond while toning their bodies, too.
Christina Milian Diet Plan
Milian loves to have junk food and finds it difficult to resist. If she sees Cheetos, pickle flavored chip or Oreo’s, she will definitely grab a hold of it. Her love for unhealthy foods has caused allergic reactions, and now she carefully monitors her consumption. She has now stuck to healthy eating and is extremely happy with the rewarding outcomes.
During her teens, she followed a starvation diet and shed 20 pounds. Although she looked stunning, sticking to starvation diets is difficult for a longer period, so now she eats nutrient dense foods. Her inclination towards clean and organic foods have kept her in shape and prevented her from bulking up. She consumes a lot of vitamin- and mineral-rich foods like fresh green veggies and fruits, as well as protein-rich foods like eggs, chicken, fish, turkey, and bacon.
Milian also enjoys avocados and asparagus with some olive oil, salt and lemon. To balance the loss of salts after a sweaty workout, she will drinks a lot of water. It also helps clear her skin and keeps her energized throughout the day, she says.
Though she indulges in her favorites, she completely avoids consumption of lasagna and fried rice. She eats salad everyday and a bun-less cheeseburger. She has a low-dairy diet to avoid cellulite. She closely monitors her calorie intake, but ensures that she fuels up her body for the whole day.
