Reality TV star Courtney Stodden and model Blac Chyna are a pair of celebrity pregnant women who are proud of their pregnancy weight gain.
The 21-year-old Stodden is known for her roles in reality TV shows like Couples Therapy and Celebrity Big Brother U.K. In addition to urban modeling and making appearances in music videos, the 28-year-old Chyna is also an entrepreneur with her own makeup brand called “Lashed by Blac Chyna.”
Courtney Stodden, Blac Chyna Not Worried About Pregnancy Weight Gain
Chyna is expecting a child with Rob Kardashian. Recent Instagram photos have highlighted Chyna’s pregnancy with the caption, “Why should I watch my weight when I’m pregnant?” Chyna seems content with her pregnancy weight gain. In June, her weight jumped from 139 pounds to 165.6 pounds. Chyna has stated that she doesn’t care how much weight she gains during her pregnancy.
Stodden, on the other hand, doesn’t understand why pregnant women are judged for their weight gain. Stodden and her 55-year-old husband, actor Doug Hutchison, are expecting their first child.
“If our society thinks that it’s actually ok to say a pregnant woman is ‘fat’ there’s something seriously wrong with it,” Stodden wrote in an Instagram post.
Courtney Stodden Bares Her Baby Bump and Eats What She Likes:
Stodden posted a video in May showing her embracing pregnancy and dancing around the pool in a bikini. She wrote on Instagram, “Embracing these insane body changes with a smile lol.”
Stodden follows a healthy vegetarian diet and has promoted the vegetarian lifestyle on behalf of PETA. She eats proteins like nuts, tofu, and protein shakes. Some of her favorite foods include blueberries.
Stodden and Chyna are two celebrities embracing pregnancy; however, although weight gain during pregnancy is normal, it should be closely monitored. An average healthy weight gain during pregnancy is considered to be 25 pounds, but a typical weight gain is 25 to 35 pounds. A weight gain of 30 to 40 pounds on a diet of nutrient-dense foods will lead to the delivery of a larger and healthy baby. During the first trimester, three to four pounds of weight gain is normal; eight to 12 pounds is normal during the second trimester; and 13 to 20 pounds is normal during the third trimester. Weight loss program during pregnancy is absolutely not recommended.
