Emilia Clarke has joined the Star Wars spin-off Han Solo movie. Clarke is already a well-known actress, as she plays Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones. From medieval times to a galaxy far, far, away, Clarke is embarking on an out-of-this-world movie role.

There is no confirmed title yet for the Han Solo stand-alone film, but what we do know is that it will document the adventures of Solo and Chewbacca. The film is set to be released sometime in 2018.

Emilia Clarke Diet and Workout

Regarding workouts, Clarke stays fit by performing kickboxing, weight training, cardio, gun-shooting, and stunt training. Unlike other Hollywood actresses, Clarke performs very warrior-like exercises that help her build strength and lean-ness.

Clarke was actually offered the main role in the film 50 Shades of Grey, but turned it down due to the large amount of nudity in the film. Although she has the body to go nude—and has already done a few scenes for GOT—she didn’t want to get stuck in a certain type of role and, in order to diversify her resume, opted against the movie role.

Clarke is known to adjust her diet and workouts around her movie or TV roles. For example, when she was in Terminator, Clarke followed a strict diet that would only allow her one cup of tea with no milk or sugar—quite the opposite of how the British actress normally takes her tea.

Some other restrictions on her diet including eliminating foods with high sugar content, wheat, caffeine, and dairy products—is there really anything left? Well, we could only assume then that Clarke mainly consumed protein and vegetables in order to achieve her figure.

Outside of her movie roles, though, Clarke still maintains a very healthy diet. She is a huge fan of author and creator of Clean and Lean Diet, James Duigan. Clarke has suggested that Duigan is the reason for her healthy and clean kitchen.

The premise of the Lean and Clean Diet is to put your body in “the perfect” state. The diet does not include fattening toxins and helps promote lean-ness by providing a nourishing diet accompanied by exercise.

Duigan has also created Bodyism, which is the workout plan that goes with Lean and Clean. So far, there are locations in London, Capri, Turkey, and the Maldives, and their classes include boxing, ballet, and yoga.

Although Clarke is no stranger to making changes to her diet and working out to fulfill movie roles, it doesn’t mean she still doesn’t have cravings. Clarke has said in an interview, “[When you finish], you’re like, ‘Please, can I have cake? Like, a chocolate cake, and a beer?’”

Emilia Clarke is already pretty fit, so it will be interesting to see what changes she makes to her diet to fill the Star Wars Han Solo film. Our guest is that it won’t have to be as grueling as it was for the role in Terminator.
