The Euro 2016 final between France and Portugal takes place this Sunday at the Stade de France, the sixth-largest stadium in Europe. So what is being offered for the Euro 2016 food inside the stadium?

Are there healthy snacks and options during the game or at a Euro 2016 party afterward? There are a variety of food choices for Euro 2016 celebrations both inside and outside the stadium.

Stade de France Offers a Variety of Food and Drinks inside the Stadium

The Stade de France contains typical stadium foods like desserts, candies, and salty snacks, but there are some healthy options available for your Euro 2016 party at the stadium. The following is a nutritional synopsis and a brief review of health benefits of a few healthy options for the Euro 2016 food inside the stadium:

Tuna

Tuna is a great source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids such as eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid. Other key nutrients in tuna include magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, selenium, vitamins B1, B3, and B6, and the amino acid tryptophan. Health benefits of tuna include protection against heart disease, stress reduction, and protection against eye problems such as age-related macular degeneration. You can find tuna sandwiches both inside and outside the stadium.

Chicken

Chicken can also be found in a sandwich inside and outside Stade de France. Chicken is a nutritious source of protein, phosphorus, selenium, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, and tryptophan. Eating chicken can help prevent bone loss, reduce cardiovascular disease, and promote a good night’s sleep.

Tea

What about healthy beverage options? Tea is a healthy drink inside and outside the stadium. Tea in general contains antioxidants and has less caffeine than coffee. Evidence has found that tea can reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack, prevent bone loss, boost the immune system, prevent cavities, protect against cancer, and soothe the digestive system. Tea may also help with weight loss.

It’s possible to enjoy healthy Euro 2016 food inside the stadium, the Stade de France. Every Euro 2016 party should include healthy snacks, so enjoy the final with options including coffee, tea, chicken, and tuna.
