Foodies, get out your calendars because October has some amazing food festivals. This year, experience a number of fascinating food festivals like the NYC Wine and Food Festival, York Food & Drink Festival, Great American Foodie Fest, and Garlic & Harvest Festival.

NYC Wine and Food Festival

When: October 13–16

The NYC Wine and Food Festival is considered to be the largest festival in New York City with more than 100 events.

The festival promises to entertain with wine and spirits producers, chefs, culinary personalities, and America’s most beloved television chefs. There will be late night parties, hands-on classes, educational seminars, coveted wine tastings, and other fun events.

Over 55,000 foodies attend the festival every year, and organizers are looking forward to having even more attendees as they enter the 9th year of the festival.

York Food & Drink Festival

When: Friday, September 23 to Sunday, October 2.

Major attractions include beer tasting, sake tasting, the supermarket wine challenge, and the chocolate affair wine tasting dinner.

Other fun festival activities include local food markets, street food, a champagne bar, a real ale bar, an ale trail, and a taste trail.

Kids’ activities are also completely free.

The Great American Foodie Fest

When: October 6–9.

The foodie fest has always been festive, with a dense crowd of over 50,000+ foodies. It was voted 2013’s, 2014’s and 2015’s Best of Las Vegas by the Las Vegas Review Journal.

The Great American Foodie Fest will be held in Las Vegas, San Diego, and Phoenix.

This festival is different from other festivals, as it offers delicacies from all over the country. The guests get to enjoy carnival rides, live entertainment, eating competitions, and other fun and festive activities for the whole family. Other attractions include a beer garden and a tequila party tent.

Key Attractions Include:

The nation’s famous food trucks, featured on the Food Network, Cooking Channel, and Travel Channel.

American regional fast food hamburger restaurant, White Castle, will dish up their hamburgers.

The icing on the cake will be the eating contests, chef demonstrations, and celebrity chefs.

Garlic & Harvest Festival

When: October 8–9

The 12th Annual Connecticut Garlic & Harvest Festival invites you to learn to grow garlic through informative lectures.

You’ll also get to enjoy live band performances and garlic cooking demonstrations. Kids will be entertained with games and rides.

Try and Buy

There will be a number of vendors offering free samples of garlic dips, spreads, cheeses, and oils for those who do not want to risk buying before trying.

The food court will offer homemade roasted garlic sausage with peppers and onions, garlic chicken parm balls, garlic roast pork sandwiches, deep fried garlic, and garlic ice cream.
