2014’s Healthiest Guacamole Recipe

Guacamole

I’m not one to follow celebrity trends blindly but I couldn’t help and share this latest celebrity obsession: guacamole.

Guacamole is probably one of the healthiest foods you can make in under two minutes, so I’m not surprised that so many celebrities have jumped on the guacamole bandwagon, with its latest proponent, Ryan Seacrest, who tweeted his favorite guacamole recipe from the Las Ventanas al Paraiso hotel in Mexico.

This healthy recipe contains heart-healthy avocado, which contains lutein, known to reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer, as well as is a source of iron.

The recipe also contains tomatoes, which is an excellent source of lycopene, a carotenoid pigment that’s been known to lower your risk of heart disease. Tomatoes are also a great source of vitamin C and E, beta carotene, and essential minerals like manganese.
