Vin Diesel’s new movie xXx: Return of Xander Cage delighted the audience with its terrific action sequences. Adding to the unique selling point of the movie was Vin Diesel’s stunning body. Standing at 5’11”, Vin Diesel has an enviable body—a body of a street fighter. Sharing Vin Diesel’s formidable vibe, looking all ripped and dangerous, is Ruby Rose.

Ruby Rose says that she underwent rigorous training to look like the character, Adele Wolff, in the movie. Rose plays a skillful sniper and had to work out really hard to make the character believable. The 30-year-old actress prepared for the movie with a grueling workout routine that included sniper training sessions for three to four days a week, and performed strength and fitness building exercises for the rest of the week.

To build the body of a fighter, Ruby Rose did a lot of unconventional exercises like climbing a tree with silk ropes at 4:00 am in the Dominican Republic. The actress had to pull her entire body weight up in the workout. Since she had to do her own stunts in xXx:Return of Xander Cage, she transformed herself into militant shape and agility with varied workouts like martial arts training, extreme sports, and strict cardio exercises. Ruby Rose admired Vin Diesel’s physique, and it was this admiration that kept her going with her intense workouts, even after 10 hours of film shooting.

Vin Diesel’s Workout Routine

The Fast and the Furious star, Vin Diesel, is the epitome of an excellent body and impressive attitude. Vin Diesel is one of Hollywood’s most-loved action heroes, and the actor has worked hard to keep up his action hero frame since his younger days. He looks absolutely fit and strong in xXx: Return of Xander Cage, which testifies his hard work in the gym. To build his muscular figure, Vin Diesel starts his workout routine with a light jog that warms up his body.

The 49-year-old actor says that as a young man, he tried to gain as much weight as possible because he engaged in pure bodybuilding workouts only. Since then, he has shifted his focus to building individual body parts. For his chest, triceps, and back and shoulder workouts, Vin Diesel does supersets. This means he does two sets of exercises in tandem without rest, and then takes a break for one minute before repeating the superset. He does the same to build his calf muscles and for leg workouts.

His chest workout includes: bench presses, decline bench presses, dumbbell flys, push-ups, incline dumbbell presses, and low cable crossovers.

His triceps workout includes: overhead triceps extensions, skull crushers, reverse grip triceps push-downs, incline barbell triceps extensions, triceps dumbbell kickbacks, and dips.

His back and shoulder workout include: shoulder presses, lateral raises, lateral pull-downs, bend-over rows, deadlifts, and shoulder shrugs.

His leg workout includes: barbell squats, standing calf raises, sumo squats, lunges, power cleans, and snatches.

In addition to these exercises, Vin Diesel also includes abs workouts. He also does Jiu-Jitsu and Pilates for improved agility. For holistic relaxation and control over his body, Vin Diesel does yoga.
