Holly Willoughby Looks Slim in Halloween Costume: This Morning Presenter Follows Healthy Diet to Stay in Shape

Holly Willoughby

Holly Willoughby’s on holiday from her job as co-host of This Morning, but that doesn’t mean she’s sitting around being lazy.

She showed off a picture on Instagram where she’s rocking a Harley Quinn costume—whether or not it’s a Halloween costume or she’s just a really big fan, the star definitely looks like she’s busy having fun.

Looking Slim, Having Fun and Loving Life

I don’t think anyone would dress up like a member of the Suicide Squad a month and a half before Halloween if they weren’t confident.

According to recent comments and photos of Holly Willoughby, she seems to be feeling good about herself.

One of the reasons she’s feeling good must have to do with her recent weight loss. Although I can’t tell you exactly how she lost her weight, I can offer you some very realistic speculation.

Exercise and a Balanced Diet

It might not sound very sexy, but a balanced diet and a little activity is the best formula for weight loss. You might want to hear about some secret celebrity workout or trick, but they don’t exist. Virtually everyone who’s had success with weight loss does some variation of the same thing.

There are reports that Willoughby adopted a balanced diet to achieve her weight loss, and you might be wondering what that means. A balanced diet is one that makes sure you’re getting adequate amounts of macronutrients like proteins, carbohydrates, and fat, along with other important dietary components like fiber. A balanced diet typically resembles a 35/35/30 split, with slight variations depending on the individual.

The numbers in the spilt represent protein/carbohydrates/fat. Another way to think about a balanced diet is to look at the food on your plate: A little over a third should be a protein source like eggs, egg whites, meat, chicken, fish, or tofu. Another third or so should be a starchy carb—preferably something whole grain or a sweet potato. The rest should be green vegetables, with healthy fats coming as part of a protein source or cooking oil. You can also add healthy fats by snacking on nuts.

Although a healthy balanced diet would typically feature whole fruits, veggies, meats, and fats—as well as limiting processed foods—nobody is that perfect. Trying to have a healthy, balanced meal 80% of the time and indulging 20% of the time is a great way to stay on track with your goals, while still leaving room for some treats.
