A lot of people say Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum are good looking. Is it because they keep a food diary or follow a vegan diet? Unlikely, but it probably helps.

Dewan follows a vegan diet—something husband Channing Tatum tried but couldn’t maintain—and it’s provided all kinds of benefits to her skin, body, and overall health. And while it might not be the best option for those looking to build muscle or have a particular interest in getting enough natural vitamin B12 (vegans/vegetarians can get enough B12 by eating fortified foods), it does promote weight loss and good health. The most nutrient-dense foods in the world typically come from plant-based items, so eating more fruits, vegetables, nuts, and legumes is always a good thing.

What Does Jenna Dewan Eat?

Dewan is known for her healthy glowing skin and slender figure—especially after trimming down post-pregnancy. She lost 33 pounds a few months after giving birth, which is impressive no matter how you want to cut it. Along with a fun workout routine (she tries to get into the gym three to five times per week), Dewan eats healthy meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner to provide the right nutrition for glowing skin and a great body.

Sample Breakfast
Dewan usually starts her day with a green-and-fruit smoothie, using items such as spinach, kale, lemons, bananas, and pears. For some healthy fats, she adds some cod liver oil or black sesame seeds. Whether or not the cod liver oil is considered vegan is up for discussion.

Sample Lunch
One of her favorite lunch salads isn’t a Cobb, Caesar, or chef’s, but Lebanese tabouli. She draws on her family heritage to come up with a quick tabouli recipe you can try, using parsley, mint, bulgur, tomatoes, and scallions. She usually makes a big batch that she can toss in the fridge to grab and go for days!

Sample Dinner
For dinner, it’s not uncommon for Dewan to eat a bunch of carbs such as brown rice, black beans, and roasted vegetables. Some of the veggie selections include asparagus, purple potatoes, butternut squash, and zucchini.

What Does Jenna Dewan’s Workout Routine Look Like?

Dewan’s trainer says her workouts involve lots of active, functional movements; the kind you make in everyday life. The key is to make it fun and intense, so they do things like dancing, kickboxing, and shadowboxing. Planks help Dewan keep a toned stomach; she also does fun variations on crunches, like inching herself along the floor!
