Jessica Alba Reveals Bikini Body Secrets: Two Days of Insane Workouts

Does Jessica Alba age? If you saw her latest Shape cover—which she recently posted on Instagram—you wouldn’t think so.

Alba showed off her bikini body, and revealed the workout that helps her maintain her slim shape along with her daily diet plan.

In an interview she did for Shape, the actor revealed that although she doesn’t beat herself up when she misses a workout, she considers herself successful if she manages to get in at least four a week.

Instead of pushing herself to complete intense workouts multiple times a week, Alba usually only completes two days of strenuous workouts, and the other days she’ll enjoy a hike or stroll.

Alba exercises not just for the physical benefits, but also for its benefits on the mind. She noted that she feels happier when she takes part in her workout plan and that it gives her brain a kick-start.

The biggest influence on her slim body isn’t her workout plan, but her diet. She suggested that although working out gives her strength and tones her muscles, it’s her diet that keeps her looking her best.

Alba reported in Shape that her body does what she needs it to do. She explained, “If I want to go on a hike or a bike ride or go for a swim, I know my body will do everything I tell it to. I also appreciate that I can push myself through when I’m feeling tired. There’s always a little extra something to get me past the tired moments.”

In order to start her day off right, Alba will sacrifice sleep in order to get in a morning hot yoga or spin class.

As for her diet, Alba avoids gluten, dairy food, processed food, and fried food when she’s looking to lose weight. Some foods that you can find on Alba’s diet plan include green smoothies, kale, blueberries, ginger, celery, green apples, cucumbers, and spinach. Alba enjoys nutrient-dense, organic foods.

Alba strictly distances herself from sugar, white flour, and other foods that are high in carbohydrates. When it comes to treating herself, Alba strictly controls her portions, which allows her to indulge without disrupting her diet.

Alba has admitted that she can very easily consume a ton of popcorn, and her favorite dessert is strawberry shortcake (which she has a hard time passing up).

The mom of two and entrepreneur Jessica Alba has stopped the hands on the aging clock; she continues to look younger each and every year. Whether it’s the products she uses—which come from her own company, The Honest Company—or the combination of healthy eating and working out, no one can deny that Alba looks amazing and has managed to maintain her body.
