9 Juice Recipes for Detox and Cleansing
Here are nine juice recipes for detox to try. You can have either of these juices every few hours.
1. Green Detox Recipe
Celery is known as a nutritional powerhouse. The green and leafy veggies used in this juice will give a kick-start to your day.
- 1 bunch of celery
- A handful of flat parsley leaves
- 1 lime
- 1 lemon
- 4-5 kale leaves
- 1 green apple
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger
- Coconut oil
Blend all the ingredients together. Add the coconut oil and blend again. Serve.
2. Wild-Spiced Dandelion Berry Bliss Juice Recipe
This juice is refreshing with a wonderful texture and tart, spicy taste. Once you take one sip, you will fall in love with this juice recipe for detox.
- 2 cups of strawberries
- 1 cup of raspberries
- 1 cup of dandelion leaves
- 10-20 drops of stevia, alcohol-free
- 1 small chili, placental skin and seeds removed
Add all the ingredients to a blender. Blend well and serve chilled.
3. Beet, Apple, and Blackberry Juice Recipe
This juice recipe for detox makes use of beet which is rich in folate, manganese, potassium, iron, and vitamin C. It also includes the benefits of apples, berries, and ginger.
- 3 small beets
- 2-3 apples
- 8 ounces of blackberries
- ½-inch piece of fresh ginger
Wash and peel the beets. Put the beet and ginger in the blender and mix well.
Add the remaining ingredients. Blend again and serve.
4. Tropical Paradise Juice Recipe
This refreshing juice helps flush out toxins from the body. Drinking this juice may help you get a good start to the day. The fruits used to make it will keep you satiated and energetic for a good portion of your day.
- 1 medium ripe papaya, peeled and sliced
- 1 small pineapple, peeled and sliced
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
- 1 medium kiwi, peeled
- 1 cup of fresh coconut water
Add all the fruits and ginger to the blender and blend well. Then, add coconut water and blend for a few seconds more.
Pour into a tall glass and serve.
5. Garden Green Coco Juice Recipe
Coconut water cools the body and is packed with electrolytes such as potassium, as well as vitamins and other minerals. It is an ideal post-workout drink.
- 1 fresh coconut
- ½ banana
- 1 handful of green kale
- 1 handful of spinach
Crack open the coconut and pour the water into a blender. Remove the tender coconut meat and put it in the blender. Blend for a few seconds.
Then, add kale, spinach, and banana. Blend the ingredients for about 30 seconds.
Serve it in a glass, or pour the smoothie back into the coconut which can serve as a glass or a bowl.
6. Inner Glow Juice Recipe
This juice will clean you from the inside out. It will give a healthy glow to your skin, as cucumber contains a good amount of water. To get the maximum benefit, don’t discard the peel.
Lime and apples are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. Basil has antimicrobial, antifungal, and antiviral properties which help clear up blemishes.
- 1 whole cucumber
- ½ lime, peeled
- 1 whole apple
- A few basil leaves
Add all the ingredients to the blender and blend well. You can add crushed ice and serve.
7. Deep-Hydrating Detox Recipe
Watermelon forms the base of this juice. It contains 95% of water, as well as other vitamins and minerals.
Ginger has immunity-boosting properties and aids digestion. Lemon is rich in vitamin C. Sweet and citrus lemongrass contains iron and acts as a natural detoxifier.
- 3 cups of watermelon
- 1-inch piece of ginger
- ½ stalk of lemon grass

A serving of 100 grams of carrots provides 300% of the recommended daily intake of vitamin A. Lemons have vitamin C which boosts immunity and has several other health benefits. Dill leaves also boost immunity and prevent the growth of bacteria.
- 1 head of celery
- 1 bunch of dill
- 4 carrots
- 1 lemon
- 1 apple
Chop the carrots into small pieces and blend them in a blender. Add the remaining ingredients and blend again. Serve.
9. Turmeric Cleanse Recipe
This spicy detox juice boosts your metabolism. Turmeric and ginger both have anti-inflammatory properties. Since turmeric is strong, you can start off with a smaller quantity.
Cucumber and celery are hydrating. And the coconut water soothes the digestive system, while the lemon gives a zing to your taste buds.
- 1 ounce of powdered turmeric
- 1-inch piece of ginger
- 1 cup of coconut water
- ½ lemon, peeled
- 1 stalk of celery
- 1 cucumber
Blend all the solids. Add the coconut water and blend again. Serve.
How to Do a Juice Cleanse?
1. Pre-cleanse diet
You should change your diet three days before doing the juice cleanse. Opt for a light diet that will ease your cravings during the cleanse.
Drink eight glasses of water and have organic fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and eggs. Stay away from caffeine, sugar, processed foods, dairy, red meat, and alcohol.
2. Diet during the cleanse
You should go for a 100% juice cleanse as eating slows down the cleansing process. If you feel the urge to eat, have only fresh fruits, soaked nuts and seeds, and vegetables.
Your energy levels will change, so opt for light exercises like walking, yoga, and stretching.
3. Post-juice cleanse
Gradually return to solid foods. Start with fruits and vegetables on day one. On the second day, have brown rice, eggs, and yogurt.
Five to six days after the cleanse, you can have chicken, fish, or meat. Avoid strenuous exercises until you resume your normal diet.
Side Effects of a Juice Cleanse
If you want to use these juices to detoxify your body, we recommend consulting your doctor first, because on some days you will not be able to have solid food. You can do a juice cleanse for a maximum of three days if you are otherwise healthy and not on any medication such as blood thinners and diuretics.
People with diabetes, pregnant women, lactating mothers, and people with heart and kidney disorders should stay away from such cleanses.
Also, do not overdo the detoxification process as it may have side effects such as weakness, mood swings, cravings, frequent urination, and changes in bowel movements.
Final Word on Juice Cleanses
A fresh fruit or veggie juice has many health benefits if it is homemade and contains soluble fiber. You can include these juices in your daily diet, but not necessarily to cleanse toxins from your body. You should have an overall balanced diet and exercise daily for good health.
Getting rid of toxins in your body occasionally is fine, but we recommend not making it a fad diet or a quick fix weight-loss method.
A juice cleanse is also known as a master cleanse. It may help you lose a few pounds temporarily, but it may also create deficiencies in your body. Also, along with toxins, you may lose nutrients and body fluids in the process.
