If you need some morning breakfast inspiration, look no further than what I assume could be one of Julianne Hough’s favorite recipes: Lucky Charm chia seed pudding! The dancer, actress, and sister of Derek Hough recently posted a pic of the delicious breakfast splurge on her Instagram account—and she certainly says it makes her happy. The recipe comes from howsweeteats.com and is also posted on juliannehough.com, if you want to recreate the dish:

Jessica Merchant is the owner of How Sweet Eats and the creator of the breakfast meal that has quickly become one of Julianne Hough’s favorite foods! Other recipes that Merchant has posted on her Instagram are simply to die for! Although the treats look devilish, they are, in fact, quite healthy for you so you don’t have to feel guilty about enjoying them.

Let’s take a look at some of Hough’s other diet secrets and the foods she enjoys that keep her looking her best.

Julianne Hough Diet Tips

As a famous dancer, Hough is used to sticking to a strict diet to help maintain her figure so she is able to perform. The dancer says she once had to be very strict and disciplined with her diet or else she could have very easily fallen off track.

Nowadays, Hough isn’t as restrictive when it comes to eating. She has changed her lifestyle to simply stick with healthy habits rather than restrictive ones. Her goal is to create a life that allows her to pass on her healthy lifestyle habits to her future children, as well as to roll around and play with them. For Hough, healthy living is now a lifestyle and not just a means to an end.

Some notable foods in the Julianne Hough diet include green smoothies, iced herbal tea, hummus, and vegetables.

Although Hough generally sticks to a healthy diet, this doesn’t stop her from having a cheat day—yes, a cheat day, not just a meal. The dancer says that if she is going to indulge, she starts right at breakfast with some pancakes, then she has a lunch that may consist of tacos, and she finishes her day with a variety of appetizers. For someone who has built her career on dancing, Hough can enjoy the odd cheat day without breaking her diet.

Julianne Hough enjoys eating healthy foods, this much we know, but this doesn’t mean she won’t combine some sugary treats with healthy chia seeds, such as the Lucky Charm chia seed pudding posted on Julianne Hough’s Instagram account. Eating healthy doesn’t have to be something you dread; in fact, you can find fun and delicious recipes by Jessica Merchant at Howsweeteats.com to add to your own diet plan.
