Keke Palmer Returns with New Album “Lauren”: “Scream Queens” Star Stays Fit with Cardio Workout

The sizzling beauty, Keke Palmer is back with her new album Lauren. In talking about the album, Palmer tells People, “This is about a girl that you don’t know outside of the perfection of my fame and my popularity. This is a girl from Chicago, this is the foundation of who Keke is. So I wanted to introduce you to her.” Lauren is Palmer’s birth name and she thought it would be the best title for her album.

Awhile back, she told ET Online, “I’m excited for what people are going to feel when they hear this album,” she said. “It’s a very experimental album for me, and I’m trying a lot of new things and I’m, you know, just allowing myself to just freely create, no limits.”

The Scream Queens star is blessed with great genes and flaunts her curvy and slender body. She maintains it with a healthy diet and workout routine. She believes a healthy body is a gift and one must respect it by nourishing it with wholesome foods. Food helps to fuel the body and is not a means of entertainment like celebrating success, forgetting sorrows, or overcoming stress.

She knows the impacts of high-carb foods and keeps away from carb-containing foods. She consumes complex carbs like green leafy veggies and grains, as well as nuts and lean protein.

Her day starts with a protein shake. An example of her lunch is a salad with steak and black beans. When the hunger strikes, she eats granola bar, pistachios, and other nuts. She has a protein-rich dinner of grilled chicken or fish.

Palmer doesn’t spend hours in the gym, but makes sure she does effective workouts. With just a 30 minute workout, she flaunts flat abs and toned legs. Her workouts include squats, ab workouts, and cardio. She loves cardio workouts especially dance to shed some pounds and to refresh her. You can always start slowly and start building,” Palmer told TWIST Exclusive!. “Yoga, pilates, some stretching and flexibility stuff [are great] – and then slowly work your way to cardio.”

“When you are working out, it’s important to put your all into that moment, that workout,” she said. “That’s all you can really do. Then what you want, the great body or the fulfillment in fitness, will happen naturally because you’re consistent.” Right from the age of 17, she found a fitness program that she can stick to and incorporated it into her lifestyle rather than concentrating on just finishing it off.

She insists her fans to physically love their bodies. During an interview with New York magazine’s The Cut, she mentions workouts help her feel energized, makes her eat well, and helps her deal with things in a better way. The results of working out motivate her, enable her to live life to the fullest, and keeps her going. Working out may not be always in the gym, but some simple workouts like jumping jacks and meditation is a great way to stay focused.

Her message will surely inspire you and hopefully inspire a change for the good. She believes we are what we repeatedly do and she has a tattoo which reflects that (a quote from the Greek philosopher Aristotle). You can change and become anything because you are the one who chooses the habits you do everyday—you can make them positive or negative—the choice is yours.
