Lea Michele Along with John Stamos, Flaunts Hourglass Figure in Swimsuit on Scream Queens Set

Lea Michele and John Stamos were spotted on a beach in Malibu sharing a passionate kiss earlier this week as they filmed scenes for their hit show Scream Queens. Michele looked stunning in a one-piece plunging blue bathing suit, reminding us that she has envious curves.

That’s what happens when you get up every morning at eight to go to a spin class!

In an interview with Shape, the actress admitted that it’s hard to want to get up in the morning to work out, but that once you see results in your shape—and she has perfected the hourglass figure—you will want to do it.

“I’m passionate about working out,” Michele says. “I love it. I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in, and I have a healthy relationship with my body. I’m in a really good place right now.”

Before moving to Los Angeles to star in Glee, Michele had never done any fitness at all, so the concept was new to her. But she now credits fitness for her positive outlook and happy disposition. Exercise has been likened to Prozac, and may even have a better effect than anti-depressants on some people with depression—the hormones that get released while working out are very real.

Lea Michele’s Workout Secrets

It’s hard for some to understand, but a scale does not determine your self-worth or how good you look, but the actress and singer (she is currently working on her second album) understands this.

She told Shape that “as I get older, my body is always changing. Right now I have so much energy, my skin looks good, and my butt is higher than it’s ever been. I’ve been skinnier and I’ve been a little bit bigger, and I’m never hard on myself one way or the other. The fact that I’m active, eating well, and taking care of myself is all that matters—not a number.”

Her fit and toned body is thanks, in part, to her vegan diet, as well as to SoulCycle spinning classes, regular hiking, swimming, hot yoga, and Pilates.

Michele’s secret to staying motivated is to find three workouts you enjoy “so that you can choose what you need on any given day. I’m addicted to SoulCycle. I love the mentality in the room, the sense of community, and the fact that it’s fantastic exercise.

I also do CorePower hot yoga, which is amazing, and I just started this new workout I love called The Studio (MDR), which is sort of like an extreme version of Pilates.”

Exercising every day is her preference, but if she can’t for some reason, she will go on a hike or swim in her backyard pool. She even has a bike on the Scream Queens set, and when there’s a 20-minute break, she rides around the Paramount lot.”

When she doesn’t feel motivated to work out? She asks herself why and listens to her body to know what she needs at that moment.
