Despite the alleged trouble in paradise, it appears Liam Hemsworth, who is the brother of Chris Hemsworth, is focusing on his fitness amidst all the speculation. Let’s find out how this hunk stays in shape.
Liam Hemsworth on Fitness
Australian actor, Liam Hemsworth, starred in films like Independence Day: Resurgence, The Hunger Games, and The Expendables 2. In many of his roles, the 26-year-old actor is not shy about flaunting his incredibly toned body, including his washboard abs and buff arms. He is incredibly fit and many fans often wonder how he stays in shape despite a busy schedule and highly public life. Well, the truth is, like most celebrities, Hemsworth stays fit through a combination of diet and exercise.
The 26-year-old likes to be having fun while he is working out. It’s not satisfying enough to just jump on the treadmill and go to the gym, although he does do that sometimes. Instead, Hemsworth likes to stay engaged in cardio workouts like boxing, surfing, running, and other sports.
He finds these activities much more enjoyable, which is a bonus considering he gets to work up a sweat, burn calories, and build muscle while he does them. He has also done CrossFit, which is a high-intensity functional movement workout that combines weight lifting, running, rowing, and gymnastics.
For his role in The Hunger Games, Hemsworth was required to lose 15 pounds and undergo training by a former Navy Seal. All the heavy lifting, running, and climbing rope lead him to achieve a flat stomach and muscular frame.
In addition to all of this, he also engages in strength training and other body weight exercises.
Some of his exercises include military presses, pull-ups, neck presses, lateral raises, and bench presses. There is no doubt he does a ton of push-ups too, judging by his flat and chiseled stomach.
Liam Hemsworth has said he loves to eat and is a big fan of good food. This admittedly made it hard for the actor to give up some of his favorite food in order to get fit for his role in The Hunger Games.
Fortunately, Hemsworth discovered a diet plan that worked for him and it includes eating plenty of fresh fruits, veggies, and lean protein. His simple diet also includes avoiding fried, oily foods, and drinking plenty of water to keep hydrated.
Some of his favorite foods include scrambled eggs, oats, brown rice, sweet potato, tuna fish, and asparagus. He also enjoys chicken stir fry. His favorite drink is orange juice, which is packed with vitamin C and fights free radicals and boosts the immune system. He is also known to love spicy foods and has a bizarre habit where he will nibble on red chilies.
This is actually really beneficial for boosting and increasing your metabolic rate, although it’s not recommended to do unless you love spicy food!
