Not owning an oven shouldn’t stop you from making a pizza at home. You can make delicious and cheesy homemade stove top pizza without an oven! Yes, it’s true … and it’s very simple. All you need is pizza dough, toppings of your choice, and a skillet, and you are good to go. Here’s how to make homemade pizza without an oven in 30 minutes.
Simple Stove Top Pizza Recipe
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup plain flour
- Large pinch of salt
- 1 rounded teaspoon of dried yeast
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 cup lukewarm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ⅓ cup pizza sauce (or as much as you like)
- Pizza topping ingredients of your choice
First, prepare the pizza dough by combining self-rising flour, plain flour, salt, yeast, and honey in lukewarm water. Once ingredients are mixed well, shape it round with a rolling pin, place it in a non-stick pan.
Wet fingers with olive oil and press dough evenly across the bottom of the pan. Take pizza sauce and spread it uniformly on the pizza base.
Grate some mozzarella cheese over the pizza (you can also use bocconcini cheese slices), and top with your favorite toppings. Cover the pan and let it cook on medium heat for five minutes.
Remove the lid and cook for 20 minutes more. Keep the heat at medium and flip the pizza occasionally. The melted cheese will indicate that the pizza is cooked.
