Pals Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon were both at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF 2016) this week for the premieres of separate films.

Witherspoon was in town to support her new animated film, Sing. Co-star Matthew McConaughey was also there for the movie’s opening night.

Kidman, on the other hand, was in attendance at the film festival to support the opening of her new film Lion, which had many viewers in the audience crying and giving a standing ovation at the end.

The two actresses do have an HBO series project in the works together, which means they likely have shared a workout routine, too.

The Oscar winners and good friends have spent a good part of 2016 working on a film adaptation of Australian author Liane Moriarty’s book Big Little Lies, which they are turning into a seven-episode series for HBO. They began filming in January.

Kidman’s Blossom Films production company is also going to produce a film version of the novel Truly Madly Guilty by the same author. The book is a New York Times bestseller. Moriarty’s latest book was published only three weeks before Kidman and Witherspoon bought the film rights to the book.

How Witherspoon and Kidman Work Out and Eat

Forty-year-old Witherspoon has a lot to celebrate now that she’s landed another HBO series with her friend Nicole Kidman. Witherspoon keeps her petite body trim and lean with frequent exercise and yoga sessions, and she can often be seen enjoying a post-workout drink (often an organic smoothie) near her home in Brentwood, California.

Apart from attending gym classes close to home, Witherspoon runs a few miles every day, which is a fantastic cardio workout that also strengthens and tones the legs.

The Legally Blonde actress keeps her diet clean and healthy by making smart choices and keeping portions controlled to smaller amounts. She eats plenty of organic foods, including fresh fruit and vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, and nuts, but loves to indulge in wine and spirits with friends. Moderation is the key to her sensible diet plan. There are no fad diets for this blonde beauty.

Actress Nicole Kidman finds it challenging to keep healthy through diet and exercise while working full time and being a mother of four. Kidman has two grown children with ex-husband Tom Cruise and two young girls with husband Keith Urban. Because time is so tight for her, Kidman has said that she loves to do all kinds of training and will pick one based on where she is at the time.

Running, including sprints, bike riding, and yoga (not at home, though; she prefers to attend classes) are three activities she enjoys doing, but her favorite workouts are done with her family because she finds it makes it more enjoyable.

Taking walks with her husband and kids near their Nashville home is something she truly likes to do because it’s nice to be outdoors, she says.

As for the lithe beauty’s diet, Kidman says she doesn’t diet at all. She’s just naturally lean and eats anything she wants, though manages it in moderation and eats healthy foods so as to set a good example for her daughters.
