You’ve spent all of Christmas Eve prepping the turkey, stuffing, and sides for the traditional feast the following night, but what happens when life throws you a curveball? Maybe Christmas Day begins with the neighbors’ dogs rushing into your house and stealing your well-prepared meal just like the Bumpus hounds from A Christmas Story.

Or perhaps your poor aunt leaves the bird in the oven for much too long, leaving nothing but a dry husk to be served, like in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Don’t fret, we have your salvation! Save Christmas 2016 by heading to any one of these popular Washington D.C. restaurants for your Christmas dinner.

They’re also offering a “brunch into dinner” service from  noon to 8:30 p.m., so there’s no need to rush the unwrapping process.

The Hay Adams

Located in Kimpton’s Hotel Palomar, Urbana is following the Italian-American tradition and serving up a classic Feast of the Seven Fishes on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. This five-course, seafood-based menu will include scallops, littleneck clams, and muscles among others.

The Willard InterContinental
