Salma Hayek teamed up with Jamie Oliver for his show Friday Night Feast, where the actress admitted that she loves Lebanese food. The pair spent time cooking up different variations of some of Hayek’s favorite foods.
The featured dish was Salma Hayek’s Lebanese kibbeh, which is inspired by a Lebanese national dish but with a twist. It consists of mini meaty croquettes with plenty of Middle Eastern flavors. Per serving, the dish has 544 calories, 32.1 grams of fat, 23.7 grams of protein, and 2 grams of fiber. You can find the complete recipe on Jamie Oliver’s website.

Salma Hayek Diet and Workout
Hayek has always had an amazing body thanks to her healthy eating and regular workouts. The actress keeps a close eye on her weight and whenever she reaches her “alarm number,” she pays extra close attention to her diet and makes changes in order to stay in her ideal range. Hayek is a foodie and because she has such a strong love for food, she often has difficulties saying no to her favorite dishes.
In an interview with More magazine, Hayek explained her love for food: “Everybody has a weakness. Mine is food. If you love food and you love red wine and they put you in France, you’re in a good place and you’re in a bad place at the same time. You have to weigh yourself every day, and you have to have an alarm number. When you get to that number, you have to start putting it in reverse.”
If you’re wondering what motivates the actress to look her best, it isn’t exercise or even food. It’s actually love. She continued: “I think if I was not in love, I would probably let myself go faster. Love gives me the vanity to continue. I’m not necessarily vain, but when I gained fifty-something pounds in the pregnancy, it did something to me. Since then, at least I make an effort.”
When it comes to eating, Hayek often chooses organic foods to keep her healthy and is also a big fan of juices.
As for her workouts, Hayek trains with trainer Sara Shears, and the two will complete workouts just about anywhere – in her home, in a hotel, indoors and outdoors. They complete short, intense workouts five to seven times a week that involve kickboxing, strength training, Pilates, and ball work. Hayek also completes interval training in order to get her heart rate up and prefers exercises that are challenging and diverse.
As you can see, Salma Hayek continues to look so amazing by keeping a close eye on her diet along with taking part in regular workouts with her trainer. As a result, she manages to keep her sexy curves while enjoying her favorite foods.
