Modern Family star Sara Hyland celebrated her 26th birthday and Thanksgiving last week with boyfriend Dominic Sherwood. Hyland posted to Instagram and gave us a sneak peak of her birthday festivities.
It appears the two looked very happy cutting apples and cooking together. How sweet! So many fans are calling the duo their “relationship goals,” and it’s easy to see why. They look comfortable and happy together.
The couple made their relationship public in 2014 and have been going strong ever since. So, how does Sarah Hyland keep her great figure? Here is the scoop.
Sarah Hyland Fitness Regimen
Sarah Hyland stole our hearts as a sassy teenager on Modern Family. The stunning actress’ piercing eyes and petite frame have even sparked comparison to another wildly famous Hollywood actress – Mila Kunis. To keep her amazing figure, Hyland heads to the gym to work out with her personal trainer Chad Landers. She exercises four days per week, and even though she only stands at 5’2”, she is not afraid of heavy lifting. In fact, according to her trainer, Hyland loves to feel strong and continue strengthening her body.
Hyland often performs full-body workouts and training sessions that include cardio intervals and strength training. Her trainer makes sure to add new exercises to keep Hyland challenged and stimulated because, let’s face it, no one likes to feel bored at the gym or during a workout. Keeping things fun is a good way of finding motivation to continue. Her trainer also describes her as “dedicated” and someone who enjoys pushing herself.
If you want to try a workout that Sara Hyland would do, then take a look at the sample workout routine that her trainer Chad Landers provided below. This is going to help with getting lean and toned.
- Incline dumbbell chest press: Perform three sets of 10 to 15 reps using 17.5 lb. dumbbells!
- Seated machine row: Perform three sets of 10 to 15 reps at 60 lbs.
- Kettle bell deadlift: Perform three sets of 10 to 15 reps using 44-lb. kettle bell weights.
- Cable triceps pushdowns: Perform three sets of 10 to 15 reps at 25 lbs.
- Stir the pot: Do three sets of 15 to 20 reps per side.
To intensify the workout, in between each exercise, Sara Hyland will do two minutes on a Stepmill to add cardio interval to the mix.
Sarah Hyland’s diet plan consists of eating clean and healthy foods. Although she is young, she recognizes the importance of eating well to maintain good health and a toned physique. She drinks lots of water to keep clear skin and good hydration and she mostly enjoys lean protein and veggies in her meals. She practices moderation in all her food choices, so sometimes she might indulge. She even once shared with Cosmopolitan magazine that she would eat Taco Bell every day.
Of course, she stops herself from doing this because she knows that, in excess, it would make her ill. Hyland finds a balance by indulging once in a while and sticking with a clean diet the rest of the time. Even though some of her favorite food is fast food, she is balancing this with healthy options, too.
