Actress Sarah Jessica Parker (SJP) looks great for 51 years old. What’s her secret? Basically, the Sex and the City star is very conscious about her health and diet. What are Sarah Jessica Parker’s favorite foods?

Although Parker follows a fairly healthy and wholesome diet, she also doesn’t ignore her favorite indulgences either. She thinks about food all the time. Sarah Jessica Parker Instagram posts have included healthy lettuce salad, a fresh vegetable stir-fry, and even a burger and fries. That being said, her top favorite food is a roast chicken from an Italian restaurant called Barbuto. She also likes peppers, onions, and sausages on her pizza. Her other favorite foods include pasta, cheese, and bacon. In other words, SJP loves food and doesn’t hide that fact.

What Is the Sarah Jessica Parker Diet and Exercise Routine?

Parker is known to give in to her food cravings, but overall she has followed very healthy diet plans in the past, including the Hamptons Diet and the South Beach Diet. Let’s take a look at the various parts of the Sarah Jessica Parker diet:

Hamptons Diet: Dr. Fred Pascatore, former medical director of the Atkins Medical Center, designed the Hamptons Diet. The diet is high protein, high quality, and emphasizes low-carb foods and healthy fats, especially macadamia nut oil. The nut oil contains 80% monounsaturated fat, which helps speed up the metabolism. The diet is also free of processed foods. Portion sizes and calorie counting are not part of the diet program. Parker was one of the first celebrities to try the Hamptons Diet.

What is a sample of the Hamptons Diet plan? Breakfast may include yogurt, bran, and mixed berries. Lunch may include a roast beef or turkey wrap with a piece of fruit. Dinner may be some lean beef, like a top sirloin steak, with veggies and grilled pineapple. Snacks may include nuts, vegetables, or unsweetened yogurt.

South Beach Diet: Renowned cardiologist Dr. Arthur Agatston created the South Beach Diet. The diet focuses on eating healthy foods without starving the body, and it encourages three meals, two snacks, and one protein-rich dessert each day. The diet includes good carbs, lean protein, good fats like those found in nuts, and low-fat dairy products like yogurt. The first phase of diet brings down your blood sugar levels. As a result, your cravings for sugar and starches come under control. After two weeks, you begin to include fiber-rich vegetables and fruits. At this time, your cravings for unhealthy junk food disappear. In phase 2, you also start to include good carbs, white-meat chicken, and lean beef. Phase 3 is your lifetime commitment to follow a wholesome diet while eating certain treats in moderation.

What is the Sarah Jessica Parker weight loss plan? SJP’s trainer is Anna Kaiser of AKT InMotion. Here are some weight loss foods that are trainer recommended:

  • Cucumber sprinkled with lime juice and sea salt
  • A healthy fat source—the avocado!
  • Almond butter
  • Bone broth
  • Coconut water mixed with one scoop of vegan protein and 8 oz of water

Four-time Golden Globe winner SJP is also a fitness freak. She takes part in intense workouts and hits the gym five times each week. SJP has toned arms due to targeted workouts like weight lifting and push-ups. Some of her other exercises include lunges, squats, running, and sit-ups. SJP also enjoys yoga and walks almost everywhere.

Overall, Sarah Jessica Parker enjoys a healthy approach to her diet and life. On occasion, SJP likes to indulge in pizza, roast chicken, pasta, bacon, or cheese. It may sound too good to be true, but SJP believes in everything in moderation and doesn’t go overboard. Healthy eating and regular exercise are what keep Sarah Jessica Parker looking fit at 51.
