Jessica Alba, one of the stars of the Sin City movies, credits her fitness and physique to CrossFit workouts, yoga, and the Paleo diet. For those who are unfamiliar, the Paleo diet is meant to mimic the way early humans (i.e., cavemen) ate, so it emphasizes a balance of proteins, vegetables, and fats, and limits processed foods. Whether or not ancient humans ate this way is up for debate, but the diet does have its benefits.
Alba is an actress, entrepreneur, and mother of two who continues to look amazing and recently she showed off her beach body while on vacation with her family. How does she maintain her physique? Let’s take a closer look.
Jessica Alba’s Workout Plan and Diet Tips
Jessica Alba’s fitness is a result of focusing on a low-carb Paleo-style diet, which consists of healthy fats, high-quality proteins, and low-starch organic fruits and vegetables. When following a Paleo diet, it’s important that you steer clear of processed foods and instead bulk up on non-starchy vegetables as well as protein from salmon, grass-fed beef, and pasteurized eggs.
Another key point in following the Paleo diet is that it doesn’t restrict calories. Instead, it’s important to just eat balanced meals consisting of, obviously, the approved foods in the diet. By combining her Paleo diet with her CrossFit workouts, Alba continues to look great throughout the years.
CrossFit is a form of exercise which promotes strength training and conditioning. It combines weightlifting, spurts of high cardio, and body-weight exercises. CrossFit and Paleo often go hand-in-hand. Other notable stars who train using CrossFit include Joe Manganiello and Blake Lively.
CrossFit is an effective form of exercise for Alba for at least a couple of reasons. For one, it boosts her metabolism to help her burn fat faster. Secondly, it focuses on high-intensity interval training, which allows you to achieve quicker results in less time. When it comes to CrossFit, less is more.
Jessica Alba’s yoga workouts, plus her dedication to CrossFit and her Paleo diet, have allowed her to maintain her bikini body. She’s come a long way since Sin City.
