To make this recipe healthy, I use Greek yogurt, honey instead of sugar, and a no-calorie sweetener. Sweet, yet tangy and creamy, this frozen treat is the perfect end to any meal, or just about any time of day.
If you don’t like strawberries, replace them with any berry or fruit of your choice. This strawberry frozen yogurt healthy recipe can also be used with an ice cream maker—just make sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Strawberry Frozen Yogurt
Ingredients
- 2 cups of strawberries (cut into fours)
- 3 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1/2 cup of stevia or sweetener of your choice
- 1 tablespoon of raw honey
- 2 cups of non-fat or 2% plain Greek yogurt
Directions
Place cut strawberries and lemon juice into food processor until roughly chopped and combined. | |
Add Greek yogurt, sweetener, and honey | |
Combine until smooth. | |
Pour mixture into baking dish and place in freezer. | |
After about 45 minutes, remove from freezer and using a spatula, stir the mixture to break up frozen pieces and add creaminess | |
Put back in freezer and about every 30 minutes, repeat step five | |
After about two to three hours, frozen yogurt will be ready to eat |
