Watermelon makes for a great fruit for summer.
It’s absolutely sweet, refreshing and amazingly hydrating. It can work wonders to survive the relentless summer sun.
Watermelon is mostly water, about 92 percent. But the fruit is soaked with loads of nutrients. It is highly rich in vitamins A, B6 and C. In addition to all this essential summer snack is fat-free.
It can be consumed as a juice and in slices. Apart from this watermelon can be eaten up as salad by adding various flavorings to it in the form of mint, cucumber, strawberry.
Now addition of all these ingredients makes it all the more healthy.

Refreshing Watermelon Salad Recipe
Ingredients
- Watermelon
- A few pieces of fresh basil
- A pinch of sea salt and fresh pepper
Directions
Simply cut up pieces of watermelon into a bowl (I like to use a melon baller). | |
Chop some fresh basil on top and add a pinch of sea salt and cracked fresh pepper. | |
