Thanksgiving Leftover Sandwich: Recipes to Make Delicious Turkey Sandwiches from Thanksgiving Leftovers

If your refrigerator is stocked up with leftover Thanksgiving food, you can turn it into Thanksgiving leftover sandwiches! Here are few easy recipes that can help you overcome the 2016 Thanksgiving exhaustion. You can make some turkey sandwiches with the turkey leftovers. Here are some examples for you.

Loaded Turkey Panini

Ingredients:

2 slices of thick, sturdy white or wheat bread
1 tablespoon butter
1 ounce goat cheese
Slices of turkey
1 or 2 slices Muenster cheese
Few sage leaves
Few spoonfuls of cranberry sauce

Recipe

Heat a panini press to medium high heat. Put the bread on a plate to layer it. Layer the following ingredients between the two slices of bread: turkey, goat cheese, bacon, sage, cranberry sauce, and Muenster cheese.

Apply butter on the outer side of the bread. Put the bread in the panini press and press together gently to help the whole thing stick together.

When it turns golden brown, remove from heat and serve.

Open-Face Turkey and Nectarine Sandwiches

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons honey mustard
4 thick slices crusty bread
3/4 pound thinly sliced roasted turkey breast
2 nectarines, pitted and thinly sliced
6 ounces Brie, sliced
Kosher salt and pepper
2 bunches arugula or one 5-ounce package
1/2 thinly sliced sweet onion
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

Recipe:

Spread the honey mustard evenly over the bread. Top the bread with turkey, nectarine slices, and Brie. Season with salt and pepper.

In a bowl toss the arugula, onion, oil with a pinch of salt.

Serve with the sandwiches.

Turkey Sandwiches With Apple and Walnut Mayo

Ingredients:

8 slices wheat bread
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/4 cup walnuts
Sliced turkey
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 green apple, cored and thinly sliced

Recipe:

Add the mustard, walnuts, and parsley to the mayonnaise. You can even mix in a few drops of hot sauce for extra flavor.

Spread the mix on the bread, then make sandwiches with the sliced turkey and apple.

Turkey, Brie And Cranberry Mustard Panini

Ingredients for Cranberry Mustard:

2 tsp olive oil
4 tsp coarse ground mustard
1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
1 tsp cider vinegar
Kosher salt

Ingredients for Turkey Paninis:

8 slices bread
6 fresh sliced sage leaves
Olive oil
8 oz turkey breast
4 oz brie, sliced into four pieces

Recipe:

For the cranberry mustard, add all ingredients to a bowl and mix well. Add salt and more mustard as per the requirements.

Heat up a grill pan, or panini pan, over medium heat.

Put four slices of bread on a plate and layer one piece of brie onto each slice. Put the turkey over the brie. Top each with another piece of bread and spray little olive oil on it.

Toast each side until the bread is golden and top it up with few tablespoons of cranberry mustard.

Cut each panini in half and serve.
