It’s New Year’s Eve day and you are short on ideas for the impromptu gathering you are having later tonight. No worries because Wegmans online has some great appetizer ideas along with recipes to get you through your event.
There’s no need to cook your guests a meal because, for the most part, New Year’s Eve parties don’t start until 9 p.m. anyway—after dinner time. Host a grazing party that has a few appetizers circulating to keep the munchies at bay. Below is a recipe to get you started.
Wegmans BLT Crostini
You will need:
- 1/2 of a 4 oz. container Wegmans Multigrain Olive Oil Crostini
- 3 Tbsp. Bourbon Bacon Jam
- 2 yellow cocktail tomatoes, sliced thin
- 2 red cocktail tomatoes, sliced thin
- 4 leaves of basil sliced thin.
Make the jam ahead of time, perhaps a day at least. If you don’t have time, buy some fig jam or another different kind of jam, something more gourmet. Spread each crostini with 1/2 teaspoon of the Bourbon Bacon Jam. Top each with a tomato slice and then sprinkle with basil.
