A slow cooker, also known as a Crock-Pot, is an electrical cooker used to cook food at a low temperature. This counter-top cooking appliance mainly facilitates unattended cooking of dishes like pot roast, soups, stews, and so on. Just put all the necessary ingredients into a slow cooker and simply forget about it for a couple of hours. The slow cooker can also make beverages, desserts, and dips as well.
The slow cooker is a budget-friendly kitchen appliance that can be easily operated and maintained. It’s quite distinct from a usual pressure cooker. A basic slow cooker is typically an oval-shaped cooking pot made of glazed ceramic or porcelain with a glass lid. Food can also be carried in a slow cooker while going for a day out in the park or on the beach. The glass lid prevents the heat from releasing out of the pot, keeping the food warm for a long time.
