DWTS judge Julianne Hough appeared at the American Music Awards (AMAs) showing off her hourglass figure. The dancer and judge showed up with a high-waisted metallic baby blue skirt, paired with a long sleeve turtleneck shirt with sheer cut-outs.
Aside from being a judge on DWTS, Hough has been quite busy as of late, filming upcoming holiday specials in addition to planning her wedding with fiancé, Brooks Laich. She admitted that even when she’s on the go, she finds time to look up wedding-related things and saves images of dresses and other inspirations she finds online (we wonder what her Pinterest board looks like!).
Whether Hough is preparing for her wedding, judging dancers or filming a show, one thing is for certain, she always looks camera-ready and has a killer figure.

So how does she stay in such great shape even though she is so busy? It’s all about balance between good eating and exercise. Even Hough herself has admitted that many people ask her how she manages to stay fit with such a busy schedule.
She said in an interview, “But that’s my key thing: I don’t ‘fit’ it in, I schedule it in. It sets the tone for the day for the rest of the day.” As you can see, exercise is an important aspect of her day so she will always make the effort in order to get in a workout.
When it comes to abs workouts, she says she loves them all. In a Q&A with her fans on her website, Hough explained her love for a variety of abs workouts saying, “I love them all! I find that mixing up my moves is what’s most effective.
I like to lay on a box during leg raises, so I can really use my lower abs with each movement. I also love standing exercises for abs where I can really isolate my torso. I sometimes add hand weights to these moves in order to work my obliques too. Both are effective!”
So what keeps Hough going? The dancer/actress admitted that the amazing feeling she gets from working out is what keeps her motivated. Furthermore, she feels better having healthy foods. Although she generally sticks to a healthy diet don’t be fooled—she will definitely treat herself to some pizza, which is very well deserved we think.
Other aspects of Hough’s workout include cardio workouts, hot yoga, and working alongside celebrity trainer, Tracy Anderson.
For Julianne Hough, living a healthy lifestyle is simply that: a lifestyle. It is not something that is temporary or a fad, and she is dedicated to working out and eating well. And all that dedication really pays off because she continues to look amazing anywhere she is.
