Harris Teeter: What You Need to Know
This is an upscale grocery store that tags itself as a neighborhood grocery and pharmacy. Here you will find most of what you need for Christmas dinner and breakfast. But instead of going in and facing the crowds at the last minute, consider shopping online and picking your items up or have them delivered. Call your store to see if it offers either or both services.

Smoked Salmon and Cucumber Bites
Ingredients
- 2 English cucumbers, sliced into 1/4”-thick disks
- 24 oz sliced smoked salmon
- 1 8-oz package light cream cheese
- 1 Tbsp lemon zest
- 2 Tbsp chopped dill
- 1 Tbsp chopped fresh chives
- 1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh Italian parsley
- 2 tsp ground pepper
- 1 tsp salt
Allow the cheese to soften at room temperature. In a medium-size bowl, mix all the spices and herbs together. Cover the bowl and refrigerate if not using right away. On a serving platter, lay out the cucumber disks and top with the cream cheese mixture. Cut the smoked salmon into 30 to 40 pieces and put on top of the cream cheese. Refrigerate until ready to eat.
