As she approaches 50, actress Salma Hayek admits that her body confidence has taken a hit as she gets older—some days she loves what she has, and other days she doesn’t feel quite so positive.
Salma Hayek weight has fluctuated over the years, but thanks to diet and yoga she has been able to get back into shape each time.
In 2007 Salma Hayek was pregnant with her daughter and gained 50 pounds, a hefty weight gain that, according to her, made her feel deformed.
But she achieved successful weight loss through a portion controlled diet and restorative yoga. Yoga is popular among celebrities because, depending on the intensity, it can be an amazing full-body workout. For example, bikram yoga can burn up to 447 calories in 90 minutes, and vinyasa yoga can burn as many as 594 calories per class.

Salma Hayek Enjoys Foods Rich in Antioxidants and Vitamins
So how does one get a body like Hayek’s? Well, one part of getting her 36-24-36 measurements is genetics. But she also checks her weight daily and when she starts approaching her acceptable limit she starts putting things in reverse.
She lives in France, the home of great food and wine, with her husband and daughter. And for a woman like Salma Hayek who loves food, it can be challenging trying to balance the desire to enjoy the wealth of delicious items and to keep her weight somewhere she considers comfortable.
She eats a fairly clean diet and incorporates foods with antioxidants as regularly as possible, including apples, lemons, beetroot, and carrots. She blends these four ingredients together to create a smoothie, which she says makes her feel better and makes her want to eat better.
Whatever it does for her, it’s packed with vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants, so it’s a great choice for her and everyone else, including you. Add yoga to that and you could well be on your way to attaining a body like Salma Hayek’s!
