Jaden Smith, son of Will Smith, was spotted stepping out holding coconut water as if it was an iPhone. The young star was spotted with a button-down shirt which flashed his six pack abs. Maybe coconut water helps keep him hydrated during his abs workout, as some of coconut water’s health benefits include rehydration which is definitely required after physical activity.

But Smith must really enjoy staying hydrated as there have been other occasions when the celeb was spotted carrying around a jug of water. Maybe staying well hydrated is the secret behind Jaden Smith’s fitness?

Smith needed to be in shape for his movie After Earth, and part of that training took the form of Jaden Smith’s abs workouts. The young star worked closely with a personal trainer and his celebrity father, beginning as early as four months prior to shooting to allow the actor to build some serious muscle definition. Looks like Jaden Smith’s six pack workouts have really paid off, as he has the abs to show for it now.

Coconut Water Health Benefits

Aside from keeping Smith well hydrated after his workouts, coconut water offers many other benefits as well which makes it a great beverage. Coconut water can replace electrolytes which may be lost through sweat during a workout session.

Coconut water is also a great option if you are experiencing a stomach bug, as it can provide essential nutrients and energy, and can help rebalance lost electrolytes from vomiting or diarrhea. But some studies have shown that coconut water can lead to an increase in stomach troubles, so if you have a sensitive stomach, don’t have too much of it or avoid it entirely. Generally, though, coconut water is safe to consume and is low in fat and calories, plus it’s high in vitamins.

Jaden Smith knows the importance of staying hydrated, whether it’s through coconut water or regular water; it’s always a good idea to have some water on hand, though you probably don’t need to carry a gallon of it as he does. Whether you’re staying hydrated after your workouts or just drinking some water to get through your day, having enough water is good for your overall health. Fill up a bottle and get drinking!
