Who doesn’t enjoy the company of friends? We all do, right? But sometimes friends are left far behind in the hustle and bustle of life. While you celebrate Thanksgiving with family, there should be a celebration for friends, too. Friendsgiving is a chance to celebrate Thanksgiving with your friends before or after Thanksgiving day. To make your Friendsgiving 2016 more memorable, we have some exciting party ideas for you.

Surprise your friends with warm and welcoming themes—use plenty of warm colors like bronze, gold, orange, and red. Decorate the walls and table with fall-themed decor. Use plenty of real or artificial flowers and light up the room with candles in decorative candle holders.

If you wish to have a golden colored theme, then get some gold paper doilies, beverage cups, and lunch napkins.
To add more excitement you can get a turkey headband or a turkey hat. You can can also add gold or orange glitter to decorative pumpkins.

For the little ones, you can even have a kids table with some playful items. Have bright and colorful decorations like a bright centerpiece, themed plates, and decorative deserts. Get some funny headbands and be sure to take many photos to remember the occasion.

Mini Pear Cocktails with Sugared Rims

Mix two parts pear juice to one part vodka and add a splash of vermouth.

Rim the mini martini glasses in cinnamon-sugar.

Pour the mix in the glasses. Refrigerate it and serve chilled.

Harvest Half Moons

Cut squash in half-inch thick slices and remove the seeds.

Season the squash in a pan with olive oil, salt and pepper. Roast it in the oven at 400°F until tender and brown.

Saute bacon, onions, sliced mushrooms, and a some of the green pumpkin seeds in a pan.

Serve the squash with the bacon mix.

Mini Cheesecake Parfaits

How about a cheesecake which can be prepared in minutes and doesn’t require baking? Here is a super simple mouth-watering desert.

Beat one package of cream cheese, half cup sugar, one cup heavy whipping cream, one cup canned pumpkin, and one and half teaspoon of pumpkin spice until creamy.

Refrigerate for at least an hour and then scoop it in mini cups. Top it with whipped cream. The mini cheesecakes are ready to serve.

Other Party Ideas

For healthy eating and to add color to the table, have some green beans. Blanch the green beans and sprinkle them with lemon juice, lemon zest and chopped parsley. Roast them for 15 minutes at 350°F. Serve with toasted almonds.
