Deepwater Horizon star, Kate Hudson, made sure that she spent some quality time with her mother, Goldie Hawn, on her mother’s birthday weekend. The mother-daughter duo spent the weekend together practicing Kundalini yoga.
Hudson took to Instagram and posted this pic and captioned it, “Starting Mama Goldie’s bday weekend with a little @gurujagat meditation @officialgoldiehawn #Kundalini #Healing #LoveMyMama”
This seems like a wonderful way to start off the birthday celebrations with Hawn focusing on her fitness, hinting at her inner quest of a healthy lifestyle. It is no wonder that Hawn, at 71 years old, is making the most of her golden years.

The stunning star believes in being healthy and fit, but also believes in everything in moderation. She likes to include hot yoga, cardio, dancing, spinning, and Pilates in her workout routine. She may also include cycling and a Tracy Anderson routine. She confesses that she does not do hardcore workouts and attends Heartcore (in London) and Circuit Works fitness studios.
Hudson follows a high-alkaline diet, which means avoiding super-acidic foods. She told People, “Our bodies are one large chemistry experiment.” Around 60% to 80% of her calories come from tofu, fruits, vegetables, and nuts. The starlet focuses on a low-sugar and high-alkaline diet—avoiding meat, dairy, and gluten.
Breakfast for Hudson includes a cup of coffee and a green juice, and for post-workout, she may include a protein shake. She likes to follow clean eating, however she is not strict about cheating and says, “I want to indulge! I want to do things that are not healthy sometimes.” The star likes to use food delivery services like Sakara: “I use them a lot. They’re excellent,” she says. “It’s hard because diet delivery serves are expensive. But it’s nice to do a clean out for a week and be super healthy.”

Hollywood icon, Goldie Hawn, turned 71 and her birthday celebrations over weekend revealed how super fit she is. It is believed that the star takes time out to meditate and practice deep breathing, which yoga experts believe helps to reduce stress.
Her philosophy on a healthy lifestyle is something which should inspire her children, but the star is realistic and shares, “You can’t pass anything on to your children,” she says. “The only thing you can do is be an example, a living example. No one, children don’t listen to the words, ever! They listen to what they see and what you do. That’s the key.”

Hawn likes to stay active and exercise everyday. She told People, “I try to stay positive and be very very active. I walk every day and I run and do all kinds of that.” On days when she can’t do a full workout, she prefers a quick interval session. The celebrity likes to include a pre-breakfast walk, which can kick-start your metabolism. She also incorporates yoga and running as a part of her workout routine.

Hawn likes to keep her meals light and simple. She prefers to drink green juice every day and says, “I do a lot of juicing, I don’t put a lot of food in my stomach and I don’t mix my foods too much. So if I want to have like protein I’ll just eat a bowl of lentils, I won’t mix it with a bunch of stuff.”
The celebrity likes to practice mindful eating, which helps in weight loss. She includes healthy meals in her diet and says, “I eat healthily, but I’m not a vegetarian. I like to cook, and I tend to make those one-pot meat dishes.”
